Memorandum on Mutual Cooperation to Support the Development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

On 8 April 2022, Minister of Defence Mgr. Jana Černochová and Minister of Transport Mgr. Martin Kupka signed a Memorandum on Mutual Cooperation to Support the Development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for Military and Civil Use in the Czech Republic. 

The aim of the Memorandum signed is to intensify cooperation between military and civil state administration bodies to create a favourable environment for the operation and use of unmanned systems in our airspace and at the same time to maximize the use of industrial capacity / resources that the Czech Republic has available in the field of related technologies. A special emphasis is placed on supporting the projects in direct relation to ensuring the defence of the state and fulfilling the tasks within the Integrated Rescue System.

In terms of reference of the Ministry of Defence, the body responsible for the implementation of the Memorandum is the Department of Supervision over Military Aviation of the Industrial Cooperation Division.
