On 14 – 15 June 2023, Stockholm, Sweden, hosted the annual working meeting of the members of the Association of European Military Authorities (European Military Aviation Authorities Conference – EUMAAC), which, for the first time, included participation of the Director of the Military Aviation Authority of the Slovak Republic as a full member, and as guests also the representatives of the NATO Aviation Committee (NATO AVC), European Defence Agency (EDA), and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

During the initial part of the meeting, the EUMAAC Chairmanship was officially handed over by the Military Aviation Authority of the Ministry of Defence, Czech Republic, to the Partner Authority of the Kingdom of Sweden.

The most important topics under discussion covered the adaptation of general airworthiness rules in the conditions of crisis and escalating war conflict, as well as the ways of accelerating the process of introducing new weapon systems and standardization of related processes.

The conference took place in a traditionally friendly atmosphere and confirmed the significant benefits of the meeting at this level.

The next meeting will be hosted by the Military Aviation Authority of Great Britain in summer 2024.
