The Aircraft Engineering Section carries out, in compliance with the main tasks of the MAA CZE, especially the activities associated with continued and continuing airworthiness of military aeronautical engineering.
The Aircraft Engineering Section (hereinafter the "Section")
- prepares proposals for the technical capability approval of military aeronautical engineering products and issues Type Certificates and Airworthiness Certificates
- defines principles for the testing of military aeronautical ground personnel of the aircraft engineering service
- issues licences and prepares proposals for the licence suspension or revocation as well as proposals for the limitation of the qualification of military aircraft engineering service staff
- assesses the extent of professional training and supervises military units and military facilities providing the aircraft engineering service specialists with the prescribed instruction in theory and practice training in the use of military aeronautical engineering
- prepares proposals for the issuance of certificates (in case of organizations) or licences (in case of personnel) for the prescribed instruction and practice training of the aircraft engineering service specialists in the use of military engineering as well as proposals for the suspension or revocation of the legal or natural persons´ certificates / licences
- prepares, within its competence, proposals for the approval of the certification basis, programmes and methods for the type certification tests and proposals for the approval of the technical capability of military aeronautical engineering
- allocates and withdraws aircraft addresses
- prepares proposals for the issuance, suspension or revocation of the authorization of legal or natural persons for the assessment and verification of airworthiness, operational capability or release to service, for the airworthiness reviews, the assessment and verification of conformity of the properties of military aeronautical engineering with the requirements specified in the certification basis
- prepares proposals for the issuance, suspension or revocation of certificates / licences of legal or natural persons for the development, design, production, testing, maintenance, continuing / continued airworthiness management, repairs, modifications, and design changes of military aeronautical engineering
- supervises authorized and approved legal or natural persons
- prepares proposals for the approval of procedures, conditions and the scope of activities associated with maintenance, continuing / continued airworthiness management, repairs, modifications, and design changes of military aeronautical engineering within the Section´s competence
- evaluates the aviation occurrences having an impact on the airworthiness of military engineering and the competence of the aircraft engineering service staff
- participates in air accident / incident investigations.
