Aeronautical Ground Facilities and Services Section

The Aeronautical Ground Facilities and Services Section carries out, in accordance with the main tasks of the MAA CZE, chiefly the activities linked with the type and operational capability of the aeronautical ground facilities of the aeronautical radio navigation service, aeronautical meteorological service, aeronautical technical and operational support and aerodrome support.

The Aeronautical Ground Facilities and Services Section

- formulates proposals for the technical expertise on applications for a building permit or a technical equipment permit and for carrying out activities within or outside the safeguarded area of military air structures

- defines principles for the testing of military aeronautical ground personnel of the aeronautical radio navigation service, aeronautical meteorological service, aeronautical technical and operational support and aerodrome support

- issues military aeronautical ground personnel licences and produces proposals for the licences suspension or revocation

- assesses the extent of professional training of military aeronautical ground personnel

- supervises education and training organizations / approved training organizations and performs their certification

- prepares proposals for the issuance of certificates, or in case of need, the authorization of a legal or natural person for the activities, such as development, design, production, testing, maintenance, repairs, modifications, and design changes of military aeronautical ground facilities

- prepares proposals for approval of a provider of the aeronautical meteorological service

- supervises authorized and approved legal or natural persons as well as the aeronautical meteorological service provider

- carries out the supervision over the observance of the safety standards and principles associated with the operation of military aeronautical ground facilities.
