Aircrew and Air Navigation Services Section

The Aircrew and Air Navigation Services (AANS) Section participates in the accomplishment of the main objective of the MAA CZE through the activities related primarily to military flight personnel, military cabin crew, military air traffic controllers, and military unmanned aircraft operators.

The AANS Section (hereinafter the "Section")

- produces, assesses and approves flight procedures

- defines principles for the testing of military flight personnel, military flight crew, military personnel of the Air Traffic Service units, and military remotely controlled aircraft operators

- issues licences to the military aviation personnel within the Section´s competence, revalidates licences, or in case of need, it prepares proposals for the licence suspension or revocation

- assesses the extent of professional training of military flight personnel, military cabin crew, and military air traffic controllers studying at military schools and approved training organizations

- supervises and checks the level of proficiency and competence of the teaching staff

- performs oversight of the military units and military facilities providing the prescribed instruction in theory and practice training for the personnel within the competence of
the Section

- has responsibility for the testing of military flight personnel, military cabin crew, military air traffic controllers, and synthetic training device instructors on English radiotelephony phraseology and aviation terminology, and issues certificates of language proficiency

- prepares proposals for the approval of the Air Traffic Service providers and supervises them

- regulates the military Aeronautical Information Service in terms of expert and methodical guidance and prepares proposals for approval of public flying displays

- evaluates the aviation occurrences having an impact on the competence of military flight personnel, military cabin crew, and military personnel of the Air Traffic Service units

- participates in air accident / incident investigations.
