Meeting of military aviation authorities of Ukraine and the Czech Republic

A  working meeting of the representatives of the Department of Supervision over Military Aviation (commonly known as Military Aviation Authority, MAA-CZE) of the Industrial Cooperation Division of the Ministry of Defence and the Head Office of State Aviation of Ukraine (HOSAU) was held under the auspices of the Director General of the Industrial Cooperation Division of the MoD of the Czech Republic on the DAP premises in Prague on 29 – 30 March 2023.

The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the plan for the conclusion of the “Agreement on Mutual Recognition of the MAA-CZE and the HOSAU“, which will significantly simplify the formalities in mutual cooperation between the Czech Republic and Ukraine in the field of military aviation.

The talks took place in a friendly atmosphere; in addition to the main point on the agenda,  other forms of cooperation and mutual support were also discussed.

At the end of the discussions, the directors of both organizations (MAA-CZE and HOSAU) signed a joint agreement (Recognition Process Agreement) to start the process in order to prepare the conditions for the conclusion of an agreement on mutual recognition of both authorities.

As presumed, the recognition process will be completed and the Agreement concluded by the end of 2023.
