On 30 June 2023, a military aeronautical engineering Type Acceptance Certificate for AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters was sent to the Armaments and Acquisition Division of the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

Issuing the Type Acceptance Certificate is the culmination of several months of work effort of the members of the MoD Department of Supervision over Military Aviation (i. e., Military Aviation Department) of the Industrial Cooperation Division, Air Force Headquarters, and 22 Helicopter Air Force Base in the process of type approval of military aeronautical engineering – one of the preconditions for successful implementation of the H-1 platform in military aviation of the Czech Republic.

This Document is a basis for the follow-up operations of AH-1Z Viper helicopters in the Czech Republic Armed Forces. After delivering the first helicopters, it will be possible to enter them on the Military Aircraft Register of the Czech Republic, and after carrying out acceptance and test flights, a full-value Airworthiness Certificate, without which it is impossible to operate any military aeronautical engineering, can be issued. The Military Aviation Authority, CZE, and others concerned expect a similar process for the helicopters of combat support of the UH-1Y Venom type in the following six months of this year.
